TruckTech+: Easily Create & Manage Geofences in PACCAR Solutions

We’re excited to explain how to use a feature in PACCAR Solutions that puts more control in your hands. You can now create, edit, and manage geofences to better monitor and manage your fleet. Set custom parameters, receive real-time notifications when vehicles enter or exit a geofence, and even automatically mark a truck as “In Repair” when it arrives at or leaves a designated location—like your in-house shop.

As a customer admin, you’ll have full visibility of all geofences created under your account, while individual users can view and manage only the ones they’ve set up. This enhancement is designed to give you more flexibility, improve oversight, and help keep your operations running smoothly.

1. Login to PACCAR Solutions with your email address and password.

2. Select “Geofence Management” from the left-hand menu.

3. Select “Add Geofence +” in the top right corner.

4. Fill in Title and Description.
    a. Check the box next to the notifications you wish to receive:
        i. Entering Geofence
        ii. Exiting Geofence
        iii. In Repair - This will set the truck to “In Repair” status when it enters the geofence and sends notification.

5. Select “Rectangle” or “Polygon” to draw your geofence. With “Polygon”, you can create as many points as you wish to design your geofence. To finalize your geofence, double click when you are creating your last point. Then select “Save”.

6. Once a geofence is created, you can find it in the list of all your geofences. By selecting it, it will automatically zoom in on your geofence. You are then able to edit or delete.
